## Choose the export for the KDP format

For Kindle ebooks, EPUB is the natural starting point because it is reflowable. For print workflows, use the PDF output only after checking page geometry, margins, images, and the requirements of the selected trim size.

## Do a store-specific review

- Check title and subtitle consistency between manuscript, cover, and KDP listing.
- Inspect the table of contents in a Kindle previewer.
- Verify image quality and any full-bleed requirements for print.
- Use Scribora's free KDP tools for royalty and cover calculations when relevant.
- Review Amazon's current publishing and content rules before submission because marketplace requirements can change.

## Scribora produces separate KDP cover files

The Publish card exposes two cover exports in addition to the manuscript. Cover (Paperback) renders a wraparound PDF containing back cover, spine, and front cover. Cover (eBook) renders a front-only JPEG for the Kindle ebook cover.

The ebook-cover renderer enforces the implementation's KDP minimum image dimensions. The paperback renderer uses the selected trim format and the rendered book geometry to build the wraparound cover.

## Interior size and cover size must agree

The page-format selector includes KDP paperback trim sizes and is independent of the visual theme. Use the same trim choice for the interior PDF and the paperback cover; KDP treats the interior and cover as separate uploads whose geometry must match.
