## Pro is a different writing pipeline, not just more credits

A Pro project can use a multi-pass workflow that drafts, critiques, and revises instead of stopping after the first generation. It also enables chapter-level coherence review, style refinement, and fact-checking with automatic fixes where supported.

- Draft: produce the chapter from the project plan and source context.
- Critique: inspect the draft for omissions, weak reasoning, and quality issues.
- Revise: rewrite against the critique rather than accepting the first pass.
- Coherence: check the chapter against the rest of the book.
- Refinement and fact-checking: improve style and verify factual claims where the feature applies.

## One-off Pro versus recurring Pro

A Pro Book one-off purchase unlocks Pro-quality generation features for that project while remaining a 10-chapter one-off book. Recurring Pro is an account subscription with recurring credits, multiple projects, and the plan's higher chapter limit.

## How a project gets the Pro pipeline

Generation uses the project's effective tier, not only the account label. The backend compares the recurring account tier with any project-scoped one-off entitlement and uses the higher feature tier for that project. A Pro Book can therefore enable Pro generation on one project without upgrading the account.

The one-off entitlement can only raise project capabilities; it never removes capabilities from an account that already has a higher subscription tier.

## What the implementation does after drafting

For Pro-quality generation, sections go through critique and revision, then the chapter participates in book-level coherence work. The editorial path also includes humanization/style refinement and fact checking.

Fact checking is grounded in the source excerpts available for the chapter. When factual problems are found, the pipeline has a separate correction step rather than merely attaching a warning to the draft.
